The Truth about Narcissism
From victim to surviving to healing.
Goals: To no longer be left quivering in the corner, unable to function - to heal so thoroughly that the sound of his voice, the mention of his name and the thought of others buying his lies doesn’t cripple!
I’ve a story to tell and I ask you to listen. I also ask that you don’t pity me, don’t feel “sorry” for what I and others have endured. I ask that you LISTEN, that you understand what the reality of narcissism is; acknowledge that it is abuse-yes, in some cases it is just as detrimental as physical abuse alone. Listen with ears to hear and a heart to learn so that you can recognize it not only in your relationships but in others. So that you can be a lifeline to someone who is suffering under this type of abuse. Listen so that you can be more mindful of your own words when someone expresses what is happening to them; listen and step in when you see this happening. This story is told from a female perspective, but I don’t deny that women can also be truly narcissistic abusers. I can only share what I know firsthand, and that is what life is like when married to a male narcissist.
My goal in creating this site and sharing my story is simple: that Christ may be glorified in and through every aspect of my life, and that He may use this site to help many others moving forward.
